Karfas beach is the most popular meeting point of people of many nationalities who visit the village every summer. It is situated six kilometers from the port (3 km from the airport), on the south-east side of the island. The beach is completely sandy and the water is shallow for many meters in, which makes it safe for youngsters as well.
Water-sports and other kinds of entertainment are available for your entertainment. There also are restaurants in many places in the village with various cuisines that will satisfy even the most demanding taste. A good meal can be ideal after your midday swim, before going to your room for your siesta. As for your evenings, Karfas is the best destination for fans of ‘loud’ entertainment or those who like romantic spots. There are bars on the rocks of the village beach from where the soft sound of the breaking waves can be heard and the dark mysterious waters of the Aegean with the light of Asia Minor create the right atmosphere while you enjoy your drink.
